Who We Are
Friends of Baseball was founded in 2005 by a father and son looking for a means to "give back" to youth via a sport that brought them closer, and for which they continue to share a passion. FOB’s focus is specifically dedicated to the enrichment of youth, parents and their relationship through baseball and softball. Youth baseball has been faced with many inherent challenges, including loss of playing venues, diminished resources, and facilitating the logistics of preparing for “the game;” needs exceed resources. We rely heavily on donations to meet the needs of our community and in our ability to expand our reach.
100% of all donations, contributions, and our founder's endowment are returned to our kids in the form of grants. Our organization operates with no administrative costs as dictated by our founders and Board of Trustees.
What We're Working Toward
Through our partnership with Pledgeplay and Sports Supply Group Inc. we hope to encourage a fun and supportive environment where others who share Friends of Baseball’s vision can contribute by giving back. True to our mission, 100% of all Pledgeplay donations through token purchase will be used to purchase equipment and gear for our teams, thanks to our joint venture with Sports Supply Group. This will include all levels of baseball and softball field equipment, as well as concession equipment that will encourage sustainability for leagues and teams in our region in the years to come!
Additionally, through this program we hope to expand upon our current region in the hopes of better satisfying organizations exhibiting compelling need that we are not currently able to serve! Come join us, and when you register the first game is on us! Be assured that your donations will go to help “our kids” and where the needs are the greatest!
